Adaptive methods have important applications for engineering computing and computing mathematics. These series of activities will cover modern theories and practical applications of adaptive mesh methods. This method correlates with numerical methods of PDE, algebra multigrid method, nonlinear approximation, optimal control problem, mesh generator and optimization. Successful implementation of the adaptive strategy can increase the accuracy of the numerical approximations and also decrease the computational cost.
These series of activities will be helpful in the communications and co-operations between the specialists and young scholars who are interested in adaptive methods. So for young scholars, this is a good opportunity to study and understand the most popular research in the world. There will be series of outstanding speeches and seminars and some experts will be invited to do research with our students. The scope of this workshop is to bring together both specialists and users to discuss about the state of art and the new directions of adaptive methods.
